Body Found on Railroad 

On Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at approximately 4:53 p.m., Poinsett County Dispatch received a call that Marvin Hugh Jones was possibly missing on the levee in the Tulot area outside of Trumann, AR. Deputies were dispatched to the scene. After further investigation, the Poinsett County Search and Rescue Team, Poinsett County Deputies and the Trumann Fire Department were requested to help search the area for Mr. Jones. After searching the area, Mr. Jones was not located. 

Poinsett County Investigators, Deputies, and Criminal Investigators with the Arkansas State Police continued to investigate this incident throughout the night. At approximately 5:08 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, BNSF Railway Company called Poinsett County Dispatch and advised one of their Trains had located a body on the tracks. The body was identified as Marvin Hugh Jones, 74, of Paragould. 

The body is being sent to the Medical Examiner in Little Rock. The Arkansas State Police and BNSF are assisting with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
