Drug Enforcement

The primary responsibility of a Drug Enforcement Deputy Sheriff is to investigate and combat illegal drug activities within Poinsett County. This involves conducting surveillance, gathering intelligence, and executing search warrants to apprehend individuals involved in drug trafficking and distribution. Agents also collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to gather information and build cases against drug offenders. Additionally, they may be required to testify in court, provide support for drug prevention programs, and educate the public about the dangers of drug abuse. The role demands a strong commitment to upholding the law, excellent investigative skills, and the ability to work under challenging and often dangerous circumstances.
