Execution of Search Warrant in Harrisburg Nets 2 Arrests
During the afternoon hours of June 11th, 2018 the Poinsett County Sheriff's Office, assisted by a member of the Trumann Police Department, executed a search warrant at 6865 Mills Lane, Harrisburg, AR. Deputies forced entry into the home and made contact with two adult males and one adult female inside the home. The two males got up and ran towards the rear of the residence as the deputies entered. The female was placed into custody as well as one of the males, who were identified as Tim Denton (age 51, Harrisburg, AR). The other male however was able to arm himself with a 9mm handgun. He refused to put the gun down for several minutes, but a deputy was finally able to talk him into surrendering. That male was identified as Eric Kelton Costner (age 26, Harrisburg, AR).
During the search, suspected methamphetamine, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia, a surveillance camera system, and a handgun were found. After completing the initial part of the investigation the following individuals were arrested:
Tim Denton: Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver (Schedule IV)
Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Substance
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (felony)
Possession of a Firearm by Certain Person(s)
Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver
Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms
Eric K. Costner: Aggravated Assault
The female was deemed to just be a visitor and was released without charges for the time being.
